3D Probleme mit SUSE10.2 - iB-InformatikBoard.ch

Ich hab ein paar Probleme mit meinem openSUSE 10.2:
Ich hab den ATI Treiber installiert und ich hab noch ne grafische Oberfläche aber ich bin nicht sicher ob er korrekt installiert ist (glxgears funkt). Wie kann ich das überprüfen?
Ich hab beryl und emerald installiert und er startet es auch aber ich hab ein grauseliges Design und ich kann es in emerald nicht ändern da unter Design nur ein "Beenden" button erscheint nix mit übernehmen oder anwenden... Woran kann das liegen?
Ich bekomme den Würfel nicht geschweige denn andere 3D Effekte! woran kann das liegen?
hab eine ATI Mobility Readon X700 mit 128 MB eigenem Speicher!

glxgears funktionieren auch ohne 3d-Beschleunigung.
gib mal folgendes ein:

glxinfo | grep rendering

Falls "direct rendering: No" hast du keine 3d-Beschleunigung.
Falls "direct rendering: Yes" funktioniert die 3d-Beschleunigung.

damit solltest du bereits schon einen Schritt weiter kommen.

demnach nein! wie aktiviere ich die 3D beschleunigung? glaube mich zu errinnern dass in sax2 am anfang (also ohne ati treiber) bereits 3D nicht durchgestrichen war es sollte also jetzt auch funktionieren aber wie? wo muss ich das einstellen?
wenn ich in yast auf "Grafikkarte und Montior" gehe dann ist bei mir unten nämlich das Häkchen bei "3D-Beschleunigung aktivieren" gemacht aber es ist so grau hinterlegt also nicht auswählbar...

Edit: achja was mir letztens auffiel war dass wenn ich am Desktop auf "Arbeitsplatz" klicke ich unter "Graphikkarte" -> "Treiber" "Unbekannt" stehen hab!!!! kanns vllt. daran liegen oder wie melde ich suse dass das der ati treiber ist und es machen soll was ich will?

Hast du unten rechts ein "Hardware"-Icon?
Ich meinte, dass SuSE neue gefundene Hardware, zu welcher noch Fragen sind, unten rechts als kleines Symbol darstellt.

Oder poste mal bitte deine /etc/X11/xorg.conf.
Interessant wäre darin, welcher Treiber verwendet wird: Ist es "fbdev"?

Du könntest in der /etc/X11/xorg.conf unter Section "Device" die Zeile Driver "fbdev" zu Driver "fglrx" ändern.

Der richtige Treiber wird anscheinend verwendet:
Driver "fglrx"
Weiss sonst noch jemand Rat?

ja wär schön würd mich echt freuen aber vllt. hat er das auch nur mit dem Abschlussbefehl hineingeschrieben:

hätte mich nämlich an
SDB:ATI Treiber unter SUSE installieren - openSUSE
gehalten... darum auch das mit glxgears...
